NOTICE OF PROPOSED DEVELOPMENT
Pursuant to the requirements of Section 177AE(4)(a) of the Planning and Development Act 2000 (as amended) Tipperary County Council proposes to seek approval of An Bord Pleanála to carry out the following development at Clare Glens Woodlands and Looped Walk, Clare Glens, Newport, Co. Tipperary :

The proposed development consists of construction of new entrance and access way for emergency staging area, with trail upgrades in the form of, upgrade to existing bridge, enhancement to footpaths and all ancillary site works as required to complete the works. The footprint of the proposed project is within a Special Area of Conservation, namely Clare Glen SAC – 000930. |

A Natura Impact Statement (NIS) has been prepared in respect of the proposed development. An Bord Pleanála may give approval to the application for development with or without conditions or may refuse the application for development.
Plans and particulars of the proposed development together with the Natura Impact Statement will be available for inspection, free of charge, at Nenagh Municipal District Offices, Tipperary County Council, Civic Offices, Limerick Road, Nenagh, Co. Tipperary between the hours of 9:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday (excluding Public Holidays) for a period from Wednesday 28th May to Friday 11th July 2025. A copy may be purchased at a fee not exceeding the reasonable cost of making a copy.
Submissions and observations with respect to the proposed development, if carried out, relating to –
- the implications of the proposed development for proper planning and sustainable development in the area concerned,
- the likely effects on the environment of the proposed development, and
- the likely significant effects of the proposed development on a European site,
may be made in writing within the period specified above to The Secretary, An Bord Pleanála, 64 Marlborough Street, Dublin 1 not later than the 11th July 2025.
